Thanks folks! We are going to try the surge protector route along with a new 30 amp cord - just in case. We did try to plug into the neighboring power pole in the park with an extension and had the same issue. We were wondering if there might be an electrical issue between the converter itself to the rv plug causing the issue. But then it would be consistent and not so sporadic over two summers. I tend to think it is an rv park issue also.
