Raccoon in storage area

We have an Elkridge Heartland. We have had this since 2018 and never had any issues with critters. This year when we opened the camper since October at the campground we are permantly settled at. A raccoon had found his way into the storage areas and chewed apart our heating duct work and insulation for hot water tank. we know it was a raccoon by the foot prints it left on the storage doors. THey were locked. Thank goodness he was unable to enter the actually camper. There are no holes that he chewed through.
Any ideas wil be welcomed.

Sounds like a real mystery--has to be a way in, and out. At least the damage is not hard to repair.
Don't know of any raccoon repellent...short of a trap.
