Dometic Water Dispenser

On our new dometic refrig is the water dispenser in the door. It use to shut off immediately after you pulled your glass from getting water. Now it takes a couple of seconds to shut off. If your not careful and pull away too quickly water will spill out onto the floor etc.
Has anyone encountered this before and what might I do to correct this problem? A person at the Colorado Springs rally said to open the refrig door and take the compartment that houses the filler hose loose and see if there might be a problem there? Any thought
