tv replacement
I am replacing the heavy Sony TV that came with my 2006 elite to 32" flat screen. We have the lower TV entertainment center with cabinet above and 2 drawers below the TV area. There is a slide that allows the tv to come out and it also swivels. How many screws under the TV do you have to remove to I guess unsecure the TV. Any one that has removed that TV and with the knowledge it would be appreciated. Thanks , Jim

We have a Select and replaced our very heavy Samsung with a Sharp Aquos flat screen. The Samsung had only 2 sort of fabric straps that came from under the swivel to the back of the tv. It was very easy to remove the straps, the hard part was carrying the Samsung out of the rv. When we installed the new Sharp we were able to take apart the stand and drill through the metal stand to bolt it to the swivel. We got short bolts so it would still swivel. When we travel I use a curtain rod across the top of the tv so the top of the flat screen doesn't move.

sony tv
We have the '05 TK3 and we took the Sony anchor out--there are only 2 screws in the front of the stand that hold it on the slide--the hard part was handling that much weight without much to grab onto. We installed a 32" Vizio LCD HD that came with a stand also. We screwed it to the slide and now we can pull it out and swivel it if need be. I installed a wood brace behind the tv and use a double towel over the set held in place by a nice bungee cord. Both the brace behind the tv and the bungee have foam rubber to cushion any movement. It has traveled well.

I also took out my boat anchor TV and gave it to the Salvation Army in Az.
The replacement is a Vizio which has the stand screwed to the slide out platform. We use a short chunk of swimming noodle on each side of the Vizio when traveling. Works great. I store the noodles behind the TV whne parked.

I replaced mine with an 32" LG.
I cut a board for the TV to set on, so that it completely filled the opening, then mounted the tv to the board.
I then used the same kind of straps, dog leash, to strap on each side just like the Sony.
Then made two braces for the back out of angled aluminum.
Works just like the sony but much lighter.

We have a 06 38RL3 Elite and I replaced the TV with a 46" Vizio HD . It fills the space nearly exact and really presents a good picture. Like being at the movies. Sure enjoy it. Was not that difficult a job.
