Picking up new to us Designer Legacy this weekend

We have a 2004 GulfStream Makeo that we purchase 1 1/2 years ago, nothing but problems. We are trading it in on a 2003 Jayco Designer Legacy this weekend. We feel that the construction quality of the Jayco is a lot better than the Mako.

We contacted Jayco for a Brochure of the 2003 and they were willing and ready to help us by sending us one. If this is the kind of customer care they will continue with then We feel that we have made the right move. GulfStream did not care about customer care.

Would like some feedback on the Jayco Designer from there present and past owners.

We have a 2004 Jayco Designer fifth wheel and love it. We have had no problems and the fit and finish is great.

Very good looking RV's. Congratulations. FYI, the reason we're not going with GS is for some of the same reasons you mentioned. Lots have also had problems with the CS side, too.

Rosco...

congratulations on the purchase of your new Designer and tow vehicle, hopefully they will give you many years of excellent service and help you folks make many volumes of happy memories .... because I am in RV sales, my wife and I were able to spend 4 hours touring Jayco's plants in Middlebury, In. on June 15th .... their assembly process is impressive to say the least

We owned 2 Jayco Designer 5th wheels - a 1996 Designer 3030RKSS and a 2000 Designer XL 3610RLTS (the last year for the wood-framed Designers). We really enjoyed both of them and hope you're as happy with yours!

Good Luck to you with your new Jayco. We're having major troubles with wheels on our Doubletree, and many other problems. My wife is more frustrated than I am and is looking at the Jayco 36RTLS as a replacement. One of the items she likes is the room that Jayco offers in this model. Keep everyone posted on your likes and dislikes. It will help us all.
