Shower Stall Door
OK.. Here's one for the ages....On our 07 Elite Suite #3633, The curved shower door bottom hinge broke in half last night causing the door to fall off the top hinge. Did not break, but the little woman had to call me to remove the door the rest of the way so she could get out. You name it, it has happened with Ole #3633! Now the question is, Where can I find a hinge to fit?, there is no name on the shower stall. Help!!!

BobW is right. The only way you are going to find one of these is by contacting the Factory and finding out who made them.

Yep, Leanne put me in contact with the supplier when I needed parts. I should have kept the info to pass it along but I must have deleted it.

A huge thank you to Leo and Janice. I called Cheryl Reed and Happy to say she knew exactly what I needed and I received the parts in the mail this morning. I really thought this was going to be fruitless, but as usual my fellow DRV owners came through for me. Thank you all again

Jim=I don't know who Irvine is, but if you call 260-562-1075 and ask for parts they will be able to help you. You did notice this thread was 4 years old?

I believe that DRV has had a major shakeup in the organization since being acquired by Heartland/Thor--may not be as easy to get help as it used to be?

I think you are right. I've called several times and unable to get the parts I need.. Always told don't stock the parts anymore. They send me elsewhere to no avail. We love our 2005 Mobile Suite and do not plan on buying another, as we love the one we have, but do to the lacking service, would not recommend or send anyone to DRV anymore..

I did not find the part! I soaked the hinge in CLR which removed the calcium buildup. Then used JB Weld to fasten the 2 halves back together while building up a lot on top and bottom of hinge (layering). As the hinge sits about a 1/4 inch above the shower seat, I inserted a spacer under outrigger end. I then added a short piece of 3/4 inch aluminum angle to the inside of hinge. Then filled over and under the hinge with clear silicone. Still holding up so far? Sometimes we just have to use our ingenuity! Lol! I also, just in case, made another of 1 1/2 aluminum angle iron using the broken hinge as a template, just in case the JB Weld didn't hold.. So far not needed but have as a backup.. Hope this gives you some insight.. Jim

Thank You Very much for the info. Yes it does help me out. it is sad that such a high end RV has to be "rigged" but we do what we gotta do..and living in a mobile suite is SO much better than a regular 5th wheel
