Looking to buy new 5th wheel and truck

My wife and I are looking at buying a new DRV 36RSSB3 and 3500 Ram, DW,Mega cab, short box, factory air leveling system, 4 x4. I have concerns about the height of the truck bed and the leveling of the DRV when connected to tow. Also concerned about having at least 6" clearance between the top of the bed and the bottom of the fifth wheel nose. According to Ram the truck bed is 38.3" from the ground and the height of the bed sides is 20.2". The Pullrite 24k slider hitch, according to Pullrite, with Ram adapter for the factory bed pucks measures about 18.5" high. The DRV with the factory optional 2" frame riser according to my measurement is 55" inches to the ground from the pin box base plate on a level DRV.

Would appreciate constructive comments from anyone who has gone through this process and their results. As stated my concerns are having the unit level in a travel mode and at least 6"clearance between the top of the bed and the 5th wheel.

CUMMINS12V98 has a very similar setup that you are looking at--'15 DRV and '15 Ram
I believe he is very happy with the setup, perhaps he will jump in with some help soon.
Search for his posts here or at irv2.com
Another source would have been the SOITC forum, but it is inoperative for the time being.

And, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the reply. It would be great if CUMMINS12V98 can provide some personal experience with this 5th wheel/vehicle combination.
