2017 38RSSA Closet Problem
The slopping wood portion of our closet roof was originally just stapled in position. It has now pulled out the staples. Question for those who have experienced the same issue: how did you resolve it?

Sounds like you should be covered under warranty. I assume you meant "sloping".

I think there isn't enough backing to really hold anything up in that area. On our '15, it was loose when we checked it out, and they fixed it somehow. Probably not to last thru too many trips. Ours has a 'wood' strip across that is the loose part, and the small staples were visible on the backside of the strip. Appears the staples only go into the ceiling material--nothing there to hold a staple. You might try some glue on the strip if that is the part you are talking about.
Let us know what you figure out--to me, it isn't worth a warranty hassle, just another thing done on the cheap.
Joe

Yes, I meant sloping. Yes, still under warranty but it may not be worth the ty hassle since the solution may be just more ineffective staples.

So many times I would look at some issue that popped up while the trailer was still under warranty and think, hours or days wasted at the dealer, poor repairs by sometimes unqualified techs, or my time and effort to fix and know what failed, why it failed and how to fix it right. Almost without fail, I fixed the issue myself. Just the thoughts of dealing with dealers was a huge pain all by itself.

Had the same issue with ours. Dealer corrected it by gluing, then nailing the wood trim piece back on.

Ours came down also. I pre drilled the wood strip every eight inches. Then bought stainless screens with sunken stainless washers the kind used on boat cabin trim. Can send a pic with your email by phone.

I had the same problem with my 2014, and my 2017 38 RSSA, I just used glue, staples and also ran some screws through the molding. Haven’t had any trouble since.
Good Luck and safe travel.

My mirrors has the wooden scroll work and developed some cracks in the wood. I contacted DRV and they sent me two, complete closet doors. They are different than the original wooden scrolls because, according to DRV, early 17's had faulty doors.
