new horizon pricing

I have thier 2016 retail pricing sheet.I called and was told they discount 15% off of retail.Does that sound right?Other 5th wheel brands are usually discounted 25 to 35%.

New Horizons is one-of-a-kind manufacturer--I expect that if you can afford to consider them, you will need to be able to deal on their terms.
But, yes, higher discounts off "retail pricing" are available from other mfgs, but the problem is--how do you determine what the list price should be/actually is/may be inflated, to get the higher discounts?
Perhaps, NH is more realistic about pricing as their potential buyers should be a smaller group of expectant owners.

I really want to take a motorcycle along and am considering NH because they are the only 5th wheel manufacturer I know of you can attach a hydralift to.Looking at a 35 ft. unit

There was an cover page article not long ago on Trailer Life on a NH--said that it was recommended that one use an MDT to tow, if I remember correctly.
Even with the 'lower discount %' it may well be the best deal for what you need.
However, seem also to remember other brands with lifts attached, could be wrong. Certainly need a stout mount.

Kannon, By now, you may well have purchased, but I respond for the value to others. Recognizing that the market will change with the economy, about the best discount you'll get on a quality RV is 30%. In 2009 and 10, NH was discounting 27-1/2%. By 2011, discounting 25%. Today (201 RV manufacturers can sell everything they can build, but cannot sell more than they can build. Whereas a retailer of RV's, can sell all they can buy - from different manufacturers. So if you're buying direct - New Horizons or Luxe, expect discount resistance. My suggestion is to try for 25%, accept 20%. If you are buying from a retailer, then push for the 30%
