Full Time Living Propane usage

All, Wife and I are going to live in my 5W for 9 months in western Pa in 2 weeks. Temp will range from 20* to 85* during those months. I have two 7 gallon propane tanks in my Fuzion 427. What size would be more ideal so as not to be constantly refilling these? Say one that would last 2-3 months without refill.

Contact the local propane company and rent a large 50 or 100 gallon tank that they will come refill as needed. A lot easier than dealing with the small tanks.

Ditto on the above. We have 2x10gal tanks--I carry a 3rd tank in my pickup and us it for when the first of the 2 tanks runs low. Then change out that one for the spare and go get it filled to repeat the sequence in 2-4 days.
Having a rental tank will simplify your life. Also, suggest you get a quality space heater to use if your electricity is covered in the lot rent.

Ditto on the space heater. But add to that - pickup a 12 gauge extension cored from Harbor Freight. I've found 25 ft adequate in every situation. Run the extension cord from the pedestal, in through the window, and plug in the space heater. If there is no 15/20 amp receptacle on the pedestal, use the 30 or 50 amp breaker (which ever you're not using). You'd be amazed at how hot the duplex receptacle will get, and this way you'll be able to easily monitor the heat of the plug/receptacle and you'll be sure no other appliance is being used in addition to the space heater. I like Patton Milk house style space heaters. The coils don't get red hot - puts out gentle heat and a lot of it.

Check into the Cheap Heat System. I installed on in my 2004 Mobile Suite and love it. I don't use propane gas to heat my camper anymore but still have the option to use propane if I need too. I have been using the Cheap Heat system from 2010 to present time with no problems. The reason I installed this system was due to one camping trip in 2010 were the temp dropped to 25 degrees and snowed, I went through two seven gallon propane tanks in one week along with using two electric heaters. This is an add on to the gas heater system and is a blessing to have.

Jerapais69 I did the install myself and save on the labor. I was told the cost through a dealer would be around $1500.00 to $1800.00 dollars back in 2010. That was the system and labor to install. The system and all needed supplies cost me about $750.00 and a week of my time.

100 lb. Lasts us about 2 weeks during the coldest months. In Wyoming.
