7 Pin plug receptacle.

What location do most of you prefer to have your 7 pin receptacle, in front of the wheel well or behind? I have 9' so I have plenty of options for a location, just want to know where the most convenient location is.
Thanks

Yeah the more I look at it, even if I did want to put it up front, there is not much room up there. And it's a little too close to the fuel fill tube for me to go drilling right there.

If placed near the front, will need some type of step to reach over and down to plug it in--unless you are 6'8" or more...works best near the tailgate. Assume you are going to install a bed plug? If so, be sure you have room between the inside bed and the fender to fit the wires that will have to be bent almost 90degrees.

I installed it last night right behind the wheel well. Yeah I don't understand why anyone would want it towards the front?

That's the factory location. I mounted fill for air bags right below it. Base of plug protects air fill.

In my previous truck I had two receptacles: one in the bed near the tailgate and a second near the license plate. I used the interior one in that case.
In my new truck I only have one: near the license plate. This seems to work just fine too.
