san-t-flush check valve

Does anyone know where the san-t-flush check valve is located for the black tank? San-t-flush seems to be plugged up and won't flush tank. 2019 MS 36RS3.

In wall between shower and sink. Get rid of the check valves and replace with plastic!!!

Probably an access panel in your bedroom, the wall between bathroom and bedroom.

Not really! Simply unplug hose every use. Add this set of valves and close at end of each use.

You absolutely do need the check valve. Required by code in every location in the US> Anyone who tells you different is operating with only one oar in the water. Why would you want to risk everyone in every park you go to health. Besides it's easier than all the mickey mouse fittings you would have to buy and install. Just make sure it's piped in correctly and not backward. It won't operate if incorrect.

A little common sense goes a LONG WAYS. Do what you want. Those check valves leak and WILL cause damage.

Look at my system, if I leave it open I will have WAYYYY more issues.

When I sell my RV I will show the new owner what I did and they they can decide to leave it or replace with new valves.

Because I have the walk through bathroom the access panel was in the pantry. I couldn't reach one of the hold down tie straps so I had to make another access hole. Finally got them out. I like Cummins "Y" connection. Never thought of doing it that way. I already have the 2-90 degree elbows.

Bill, Do you really need the Brass Vacuum Breaker as well as the Plastic Check Valve? It looks like they both do the same thing.

I can't take credit for that setup but it works perfectly and I never have to connect or disconnect a hose to flush.

Think about it, with the valves closed the water can't siphon back to the domestic water supply.

I set a timer when I flush on my phone. Those check valves DO LEAK!!! That's why I replaced mine with the PVC fittings.

I've had 6 different DRV's and NEVER had a check valve leak in more than 20 yrs. Just makes sense to keep in place. Your set up still appears to have the exact # of connections, so what is saved? What would happen in the middle of flushing and you suddenly loose water pressure? It could back wash long before your timer went off.
Walt=don't remember both check valve and vacuum breaker being there, but like I said, never had a problem. Good luck with yours.

After connecting the water, and a leisurely stroll back to the RV I saw water pouring out of the hydraulic compartment. Houston's and DBRS3's have the vacuum breakers behind the shower in the front bath directly over the hydraulic pump and electrics for the pump.

Stink bugs .........

Had to take the valve apart to get the bug out.

This video is after taking the access cover off and having my wife turn the water on and off looking for the leak.

I temporarily hooked mine up like Cummings did and the SAN-t-Flush system worked. I took apart the vacuum breaker and check valve and found nothing wrong that I could see. One of them is plugged up someplace.

porthole, YEP that's what they do!!!

I was lucky I noticed water on my bathroom floor after doing a flush.

Cummins, I hooked up the "Y" connection and it works great. Thanks to who ever told you about it. I wonder if DRV spaced the inlet fittings just for that reason. They couldn.t be that smart but maybe so. Man does my San-T-Flush flush out the tank now with those valves gone!!

Had my '05 TK3 hooked up that way, worked like a champ for 8 years. Got the idea from a long-ago Suites owner Ron Sigo----Sigo'nSuites was his username. He was also the one who convinced me to change over to 17.5 wheels/tires.

You are a SINNER!!!

YEA it's "SH!T HOUSE LUCK" the "Y" fits perfectly. I never used the Blue hose that was a no brainer and that I believe was my idea.

It's so simple never having to hook and unhook hoses.

Just had a thought...you could hookup (screw in) an anti siphon check valve between the “Y” and the accordion blue hose. That way if water did ever go in the reverse flow, it would be expelled out the anti siphon check valve and not go into the house H2O.

Think about it, the tank has to be full to have anything back up 3' up and down. Set a timer on your phone and turn valve OFF when done.

I have something similar but a little more involved using both hot and cold to get maximum flow. Still have the vacuum breakers though. Just haven't got my 'round tuit' yet for those.
