50 to 30

The RV park had 50 amp at the pedestal I plug my 30 amp cord into it with an adapter- had power. My wife plugged in three crock pots that worked fine, no breakers popped. When we un hooked my electrical plug was welded to itself. Why didn't a breaker pop?

Don't understand "electric plug was welded to itself" What welded to what?

Breaker didn't trip because you were using less than 30 amps and did not have a direct short To pass UL and NEMA testing a breaker must handle 130% of it's design current for 8 minutes, but a direct short for only 1 cycle. And there are 60 cycles in a second. So, just doing it's job.

The melted parts were the male and female parts of the power cord to the receptacle on the trailer.

Are you saying the female end of the cord melted to the male end of the trailer?
