DIY replace landing gear advice needed

Stupid me. Closed up during a rainstorm and forgot to raise my landing gear. Bent the drivers side 30 deg. Had to cut off the leg to get home. It's a 2002 Coachmen Chaparral 29 ft. Now, need advice on where to go for parts, advice on doing the job, best way to jack up the camper to unhitch, etc. Etrailer has several parts, sets, etc. Anybody have experience with this repair?

Yep. Saw that one. I probably watched at least a half dozen videos. Learned a bit from most of them. Seems most people had way better access to their machinery than my 2002 Coachmen had. Got it done though. Just under 5 hrs with judicious use of my angle grinder cutoff blade on the old parts. Replaced the gearbox since I had it apart. Had to take out the battery box for access. If I have to do the follow leg I'll have to remove the LP tank box which is harder. But, it's done and no serious injuries. Thanks for the replies.

I would strongly suggest going with the reese/bulldog landing gear. Part number 500708... its about 6 times as fast as the conventional electric landing gear... a simple install if you have basic welding skills.

Tiger, are you suggesting he remove his new part and replace with the Reece/Bulldog? It appears you are.
