Cameo LXI 33' 2005 /2nd AC

Hi!
We are looking to add a 2nd AC unit in the bedroom roof spot. Took the vent cover off and noticed no ducts but the wiring is there, I assume for circuit breaker. Looks like a wooden frame, also assuming the ducts are not behind somewhere? Looking at the pros and cons of going with a non-ducted roof system OR a portable AC unit. Price IS a consideration right now. We are realitively new to all of this any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks Kasey

Most older 5th wheels the bedroom ac is non ducted. When we added a second one to our old 5th wheel we went non ducted and blocked off the vents to the bedroom to force more air from the main unit to the rear of the RV. Make sure the wires go to a big enough circuit breaker for an ac (usually 20 amp). If your coach is 50 amp it is probably prewired.

Check to make sure that wiring is 120vac not 12vdc. Lots of units are wired for a 12v vent fan, which is great for mild weather boondocking.
