Yes, I have a 2022 GMC 3500HD Dually and everything works. Did you pull your trailer with a GMC/Chevrolet product before? Does your trailer have the Hyrastar Electric over Hydaulic Actuator Module.?

Don’t know about the ‘07 model, but everything I’ve seen from about 2016 to date, an HBA Brake Cam is required for towing with any GM vehicle. It is not a standard item (option from DRV) and I have no idea what it does. From their website:

* HBA Brake Cam (To be Ordered Special for Customers w/GM Trucks)

Best to check with DRV. Your Ford didn’t need that.

. The CAM creates electrical resistance. From brakes use magnets to activate brakes. The controller reads the resistance to verify brakes are hooked up. The CAM has resisters that create or mimic the resistance of electric drum brakes.
