I agree Ron, DRV frame failures are EXTREMELY rare! I’ve only heard of one other besides this one since being on these forums and with talking to DRV acquaintances at rallies and such.

DRVs are not without their problems but frames are certainly not one of them!

Yes now I do remember someone on the Suites Forum years ago.

Lippert builds a lot of light and cheap frames but they build DRV's to their specifications.

From what I gather this problem exists on frames built 2015-2017.

From what i have seen and owners have told me they all have solid pin boxes and solid hitches, as in no up and down absorption. I should have the same cracks as I am just as heavy and the same year but I have an air bag pin box that absorbs the jarring forces of the road.

Couple people on the DOG FB forum got all PIZZY with me for suggesting such a thing that can contribute to these cracks showing their ugly heads.

ARCliz I hope you get some satisfaction from Lippert on this issue!!!

Just came across this, ironically, as I wait for a call-back from a salesman to set a time to go see a 41RKDB we are interested in. Did Lippert wind up covering the cost of repairs?

They seem to have covered it in spades for the mouthpiece on the facebunk group the pretends to represent DRV owners.

Should have posted earlier , DRV and Lippert did send a check to cover about 2/3 of my cost!!! They have had a lot of customers come forward with this problem! At least 2 dozen and counting . All DRV owners should check their units for this problem--- if you have stress cracks / front moulding separation , look at your frame !!!

There is at least one model year 2019 built in 2018 two axle with a similar frame failure.

Ours fits that description so I’ll be checking constantly.

A person on FB just had the frame repaired. I asked what pinbox and hitch, they said both were solid when the cracks occurred.

Mine with 24k weight and 6k pin should have cracked by now but I think my TrailAir Airbag pinbox has kept this from happening.

Porthole thanks for the updated info.
