Violent Bucking

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the following problem: I'm running with a 36' Experience, three axles, using elec/hydraulic brakes, and a prodigy brake controller. With brake controller set to a point just before lockup, my truck and probably the 5th wheel, as well, starts bucking violently when I apply the brakes moderately. This only happens occasionally, but when it does, it's scary as all hell. While driving down the WA/OR coast, it happened about 4 or 5 times. Has anyone experienced this problem, and if so, what did you do to correct it? Thanks, rjttam

Teton Experience Bucking

I would recommend you contact tonkonsha on your Prodigy to see if it is compatible with the electric / hydraulic brakes. I had to remove mine and install the dexter one that came with the Teton. I was told by the Prodigy folks that it was not. Now keep in mind that mine is a 2004 model and the controller was older than that by a couple of years. But the symptoms are the same as I had. Very erratic braking. Hope this helps.
