Require a minimum number of words in posts

It would be nice if a minimum number of words could be set to eliminate single word posts such as "Ditto", "yup", smiley face, etc. which simply consume space and time and offer no value. This would be especially useful for those post that we subscribe to. Also would like to discourage any status settings (Full member, Senior, etc.) since that seems to encourage a lot of useless entries. I think this forum has great potential.

I will look into it. I know there is a modification to the code that will enable this but as with anything I have to look at what else may be affected.

Thank You

I agree the status of senior etc.seems to create a plethora of useless posts to acheive it eg.word association games etc.We could take the high road in the class dept. certainly be the first.

I also agree the titles of senior etc. leaves a lot to be desired. It would appear that some folks use this to express their viewpoints with more aggorance than intellengence.
Addition of a spell checker might be a nice addition also.
Just my 2 cents.
