Installation of DVD Player

Our DVD player quit working so I bought a new one. The new one is a Sony with exactly the same connections as the old one. Because the DVD player is located at the bottom of the stack in the cabinet, I had to remove all of the components from the cabinet. I tagged all of the wires as I removed them (what a rats' nest). After I reinstalled all of the components everything worked except for the DVD video (audio works). So, I got the component manuals out and some wiring diagrams I got from DRV and tried to locate the problem. I think, based on the manuals and wiring diagram, the DVD player is properly wired to the Sony Entertainment Center but I cannot figure out how the video gets from the Entertainment Center to the AV Selector(Riverpark AVS200HD-01) and consequently to the TV. I have run out of ideas. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Mine came from the factory with the DVD wired though the sony sound system.

I have to have the sound system turned on and set to DVD, and the tv input set to dvd. My sony tv has 5 inputs. and I can label 4 of them(video 1-4) on the tv to anything I want to call them though the setup menu.

I have the first input(coax cable in) coming from the video selector box.
The second one (video 1) is set to satelite.
The third(video 2) and fifth(video 4) are not used.
The forth tv input (video 3) was from the factory and still is DVD.

Hope this helps...

Huck, with your comments I was able to get the DVD working again. However, I still felt it wasn't quite right because I had to add another cable that wasn't needed before I installed the new DVD player. Consequently, I contacted DRV today and requested an updated wiring diagram for my entertainment system. Gregg Weldon and Joe (DRV entertainment system expert) emailed the updated diagrams this afternoon. I have got my system working great again and with the diagrams I should be able to fix any future problems. I really appreciate the excellent customer service that Gregg consistently provides.
