Farewell as I have traded for a Class A pusher

It will be 7 years next week since we said saw our soon to be RV travel down the factory floor. After the getting through the first year we had a 6 good years. No real surprises.
After nearly 5 months of looking, we have traded for a 42 foot DP Class A but haven't fully moved in as my wife had some minor surgery and controls the kitchen area. We knew Class A's had less storage area but I didn't realize how much difference till realized the height of the basement area are so limiting. Of course the truck also held more than the Toad will. I will still be on the Thor Forums but a Model that was built before Thor acquired.

Thanks to all your thoughts and guidance over years.

Sold our Class A and are now looking at 5th wheels, hoping for ease of maintenance, and cost of ownership. Just curious, what made you switch?

I have seen many sell their 5er's and buy a Class A and then go back to a 5er.

Ok Cummins I have got a lot of good tips from you I am pulling a 36re3 loaded close to 20k I have a 2018 Cummins Dually long box I run 80psi in front tires I believe I’ll be ok to run 62psi in rears what are you thoughts?

To know what your rear tire pressure or any tire pressure should be you need to know your actual loaded weight.

You are right on at 80psi fronts all the time as the front only increased 100-150# with the RV attached.

Weigh your truck and RV axles LOADED at a CAT Scale. Use the load/inflation chart to determine proper psi. Trailer tires add 5psi to the chart. Front truck tires add 10psi this compensates for the turning wear. Rear truck tires add 5psi.

If you have not done so get your front end aligned to 1/64" TOE setting to avoid outer tire edge "STEPPING". When not towing reduce the truck rear tires to 30-35psi, I run 30 with a 500# tool box and the B&W hitch in the bed. I have 57k on my Michelin's with tread left to get well past 60k.

Rotate ONLY the fronts side to side leaving the wheels where they are. This keeps rotation the same and places the inside to the outside.

I realize that this is an old post, but I am considering the same thing. With my dissability, it has become increasingly difficult to get into the RV, and negotiate the bedroom stairs. For those making the transition to motor home, can you post some tips on negotiating and trading? Or, if you sold your five, how difficult was that to accomplish?
