On Strike
Nothing breaking or everyone gone on strike?
Sure has be quite.......
I have lost my fresh water pump (smart sensor 5.7) again. Surflow is sending me a newer version this time. This is the 3rd pump to go out in just 16 months. Surflow has been great about replacements tho.

Let us know how the new pump version works out. I also have replaced mine three times. The pump I now have (not the new version) has been working for several months. Maybe I got one that will hold up. Will find out, leaving for the winter on Tuesday, RGValley.

Shurflo Pump
Similar experience here. We had two go bad last winter but for different reasons. The latest one (#3) is doing OK so far. Will be interested in learning more about 'new' version and how it works.
It was interesting that when talking to Shurflo they suggested a different design pump for replacement - not the variable speed.
Warranty has been no issue as long as date of manufacture is within the warranty period.

Service Stop at DRV
I am sitting at DRV factory getting some minor service done before heading for SW. What a great reception we got here. Jim got our list of things to do and then told me about some other updates that we were not aware of. They will take care of those things too. Now that is Customer Service!
Had a chance to peek into a new unit for Louisville show. Really unique design. Good to see DRV is still being innovative and bringing on new designs. Factory is still slow but then this is a slow time anyway. Informed production has doubled in last few weeks. That is good news for DRV and their customers. We wish them well.

The new pump uses a mechanical unloader instead of electronic. The pump is said to have a little less GPM. I can live with that if it will hold up.
I will advise after some use........Bill

Got pump
Pump came in today....put in on and it works.....pump is smaller and rated at 3GPM, but just using the facets I can not tell an diff.
I will tell U something not to do (the new pump came with the strainer bowl off for shipping, I put it on and never checked the bowl for tight, the pump kept running and spurting water cause it was sucking air. So, don't forget to tighten bowl.)
Will let u know how strong the shower is next Saturday when it's shower day
Joking......will let U know tomarrow....Bill

I run an external water filter, only because I already had it, and that restricts the water pressure.
I have a ,water filter store, adjustable pressure system and with the extra filter I try to run 60 lbs pressure and that gives me plenty of pressure inside.
This allows me to go a full year, which includes 3-4 months in the RGV which has terrible water, with out replacing the annoid rod until we leave.
I really do not use my h2o holding tank but once or twice a year if that.
Will be interesting to see what happens in the shower, pressure man pressure, assuming you are alone!!!! :D lol

Just used the shower.....presure is not as strong as the 5.7 of course, but it is very acceptable. I can live with it for sure if it just stands up over time.
I am without water at the present as I purchased some acreage with a cabin and electric on it but no running water. I just had a well dug and am presently getting it hooked up. I have been halling water in a 200 gal tank for about 6 weeks now. Will be really glad to get water running.
