Search function goofy?

I subscribed to a thread "Expensive oil change" by zcaptain. I could not find it so I tried Search, Titles only. Results: no matches. Okay, tried User search for zcaptain. Came back "Invalid user"! What gives?

The search function here can only search for content at this forum.
