05 dodge, 3500, Dually (DRW), Diesel
Heard some questions about this years Dodge having issue's about where to place the fifth wheel hitch. Some say certain hitches just won't work with that 05 bed. Anybody know about this. We just got the truck and are upgrading from a pop-up to a 5er.

Don't think there is any validity to that rumour.I had a 2004 2500 srw 5.9 and traded to a 2005 3500 srw 5.9 4x4,transferred the same Reese hitch no problem.Do yourself a favor and get Dodges hitch installation sheet.Keep it and make sure your installer follows it,regarding drilling, welding etc.Reese also has the information and approved methods from DC.

Hey, I see you've got the Prodigy controller. How do you feel about it. I only have the wiring harness for my 05, 3500, DRW , Diesel. It came in the glove box in a plastic bag. The salesmen said "Here's you wiring harness for you brake controller, just give it to whoever installs your brake system. Is that controller you have installable by an ex-certifide auto mechanic, like myself. I have about ten years of auto electronics experience, with stereo's, alarms, amp systems and light kits. Or do you think it should be left in the hands of folks who do that for a living? I don't want to screw up a brand new truck because I just didn't know something.
