Lookin' for something February
Maureen and I are thinking of "settling down" for a month or so in Feb '08.
Thought Arizona would be nice.
Any suggestions?
Would REALLY like to know if there are any new or newer 'ENCORE' parks - might get a better deal. We have a number of friends who stay at the Encore parks in Texas - they seems to be happy.
Would like a quite place with a bit of room, and something to look at {other than the rig next door.}
We hope to try a little golf - don't really want the $75+ courses at this time - we're just learnin' again.
Also looking for a park that has a 'good' internet connection. We don't mind paying for it, we just want it to work!
Also have a Dog Guide puppy in training - need someplace he can - 'do what dogs do.'

We stay in the Foothills just East of Yuma. You want quiet and space look at a lot to rent in the Foothills. You don't have all the amenities of a park but a lot more space, and there are golf courses close by. No problem with animals and the desert is close by to walk the pooch or let him run a bit.
I have no direct contacts in the area right at the moment but will be out there myself in a couple weeks.
Internet access could be a problem but I know of at lest 2 coffee houses the have free WIFI and if you were close you could get on my system or a neighbor possibly that had WIFI.
Feel free to send me a PM if your interested and I will see about getting you more information on the area.

I think you should check out Desert Gardens RV Oasis in Florence AZ.
We love this place, came for 5 free days and plan on spending a month, or maybe the winter, or maybe forever.
We even cancelled our reservations at a nice Tucson park similar to this one but this one is NEW. It's not quite done yet but I think Jan 15th it will be.

FEB Stay
Mikey
We are staying in the Rio Grande Valley i.e Donna Tx until the end of Feb.
www.llanogranderesort.com ...This RV resort offers all the things you are looking for. Golf is $20 with cart.
We are staying at the sister resort. A little more congested. Area has lots of attractions and you are treated royally by the resort and locals.
Check out daily high and low (night) temps and site rates, RGV TX. verses Arizona.
