5th wheel greenhorn

Hello to everyone,

Picking up our Montana on the 17th. We're planning on doing several weekenders to get familiar with the experience. Were hoping to hit the open road in May and exploring new scenery and fishing opportunities.

The most important thing you will do, and I do it at least twice, is to walk around and check EVERYTHING, before putting that truck in gear and going.

Even a check list is a good thing if you're new at towing. Take your time and be safe, have fun.

good luck.

Thanks for the response
I downloaded a couple of checklists on setup and take-down procedures. I 100% agree with double checking. As a mature person getting distracted seems to happen more frequently.
