Anybody had good/bad experiences with engine in a 350? The truck is also going to be a daily(short distance )driver, so the diesel may not be the engine fro me. Thanks in advance for your comments. Mobile Suites 33.

Robert
I have a 2000 F 450 with a V-10 and 5.38 gears I have only had it for a few months but so far so good. They do have a lot of torque and they do use a lot of gas. But a Diesel isn't for me and you don't buy a 350 or a 450 for fuel economy you buy it to do work. That's about all I can tell you hope it is of some help. As always good camping

I put 88k on an '02 with the V10--no problems whatsoever with the engine. The biggest concern I had was the fuel tank size with the short bed--29 gallons. When towing this limited me to around 150 miles before I had to start thinking about fuel--and some of the places we went, there might not be a station for 50 more miles. So I went to the 6.0 in my '04--no problems with it,either.

The new V10 has more hp and torque than the '02 model, so it should do anything you want it to do.

And sometimes I really do miss the quietness of the V10!

We have a F250 2003 4x4 we added a 50 gallon 2nd tank in front of the 5th wheel hitch. Also have fold a cover and it works out great. As you see we tow a lot of 5th wheel 37ft. worth. It is in how the truck was built and how it was set up for towing. Ours will tow as well as a F350 not equipped as well.
