King of the road is shutting down. They have decided to stop producing RV's both trailer and motorhomes. What units are under construction will be finished, then the factory will shut down. They cited rising fuel and transportation costs as the reason.
FWIW when we visited the factory with some friends late last summer the factory wasn't very busy. There was one motorhome under construction and a second in for refurbishing. The trailer line had a small work force and not very many units in process. They had a nice trailer design too.
If you are considering buying a KOTR unit keep in mind it will be an "orphan" and warrantee coverage will be unlikely. Parts may also be hard to find as well.
