Merry Christmas

Hello to all, thanks for the adding me .. we are fairly new to the fifth wheel but not camping. Bought a 2011 cougar and own a 06 dodge 2500 . Trying to figure out what hitch we need, camper has max turn so I’m thinking a stationerie will work. You guys are the experts so if you have any input it would be greatly appreciated. Oh ya it’s a SB

It will depend upon how rounded your Cougar front cap is. I had a SB with out first 5th wheel. Mine would have hit the cab but I was careful to not turn too tight. Never had a problem.

It would be my opinion that a standard slider hitch would be the way to go. You have a 13 year old truck and an 8 year old RV so no reason to go first class. Go with entry level to start and just know that you have the slider to fall back on.
