hello
Hi, just bought a 08 36TK3 and have a question. I was disappointed to find out the hydraulic jacks do not level side to side, just front to back. Do any of you know if this can be changed so that it levels side to side also. For eight years I have driven up on boards with my old Travel Supreme, I guess I should have checked it out more before buying. I would have probably bought it anyway, its in great shape. Thanks in advance!!

I'm pretty sure the Level-Up system wasn't even an option for 2008, unless it happened to be late in the year of building. When I looked at the 2008 DRV brochure, all it listed as an option was the hydraulic rear stabilizer jacks.
You might check with Lippert to see if Level-Up could be added to your rig.

Thanks Terry, I'll be giving Lippert a call and check on that.

Level-up started on 2009 models. Some had a remote that was hardwired. We bought one and it had a wireless remote, but couldn't get it to work properly, so DH used individual buttons.
The answer is YES, you can retrofit leveling system. Just can't recall who would be best now. It was part of Trail-aire designed by Dale Fenton in Columbia, MO and he sold it to Lippert. Don't know if he's in business anymore.

Just got a reply back from Lippert:
Good Morning, you can go to the level up system .Although that would have to be done a t a Lippert authorized dealer to have installed or at our service center here in Goshen ind.
I emailed back and asked how much.

I will stick with what I got:
Good Afternoon Glenn, cost would be around $ 4000.00 for parts + labor and shipping

Yep, the auto-leveling is a pretty high-cost item. You may want to check with the BigFoot system by Quadra, and Titan-Rieco for other options as to complexity and cost.
Joe
I wish every time I set up that I had the option, but can't hack the cost of retrofit.

I hear what your saying but out of curiosity I'll check with them, thanks.
This is off topic but when you list #1869, yours was the 1869 one built that model year? If so, how could I find that out about mine? Thanks

The models are built with sequential serial numbers, beginning in 2003 with 500, I think.
There is no significance except the lower the last 4 numbers of the VIN, the earlier the unit was built. Look at the tag on the pin box for the VIN--last 4 will be the common ID for Suites units. They are currently building in the 8000s, I believe. Don't believe they have ever built more than 10-12 per week. Mine was purchased in Jan '05--at 8/week your unit might be in the 3xxx range?
By the way, boards hardly ever collapse/fail/leak--
Joe
