Refrigerator Operation

I normally operate my refrigerator in my 5th wheel while traveling I am interested to see if Iam the only one that does that? Thank you so much for your input.

If you're referring to running it on propane, most all the people we know are on the road all the time with it going. The idea that it must be turned off to refuel might not be an old wife's tale, but you would be hard pressed to find instances of ignition while fueling. If it makes you feel safer then turn it off at the pump, but there aren't many out there that do that.

Never had a problem , never shut it off at the pumps

The argument for shutting it off is to prevent gas leaking out from a ruptured line in an accident creating a fire hazard.
With that said, I too run mine while traveling.

Run ours on longer [6 hrs+] trips on propane. Don't worry about shutting it off with diesel fuel while refueling.

I believe the newer propane tanks have a valve that does not allow uncontrolled escape of propane vapors--the only concern about having propane on, in my opinion, would be in proximity to a large gasoline discharge and the gasoline vapors reaching the propane flame--not much chance of that occurring.
