Slide out room question

Hi,

I have a question about the attached picture. Is the cover on the slide ram (if that's the correct term) supposed be pulled away from the frame.

RV is question is a 2021 DRV 41RKDB.

Thanks

I don't believe so. Mine are not pulled away like yours is.

Not sure right now. Would have to crawl under my rig to figure it out. Can't do that right now, had a knee replacement a few months ago and can't get down on it to crawl under. I'm sure you'll get some suggestions soon.

It's only attached to the trailer frame with the two lower bolts. The other four only hold the rubber seal in place. With the slide fully extended, see if anything is pushing it out from the inside. If not, what Cummins recommended is all there is to do. Remove it, straighten it and reinstall.

I would be calling DRV on that for Warranty repair. Repairs can often be done by others at DRV's expense (or that use to be the case). Are you near a place that sells DRV, have them some knowledge.

It's a half AZZ dust shield and rodent stopper that simply needs to be straightened or not. You would spend way more time trying to get someone at DRV to talk to than to simply fix it your self.

Thanks for the replies. It will be a self fix. And I appreciate learning the function of the flap. Had no idea.
