We just purchased a 2013 38RSSB3 with 4 slideouts and a 2013 Chevy 3500 diesel DRW 4X4 long-bed.

We installed a Curt 24k hitch and are not happy with how it tows. lots of chunking, and all round not a good ride.

We have been doing a lot of research trying to improve the ride and are now considering purchasing a Trailer Saver Air hitch. Our question is will the TS3 work correctly with Trailair triglide pinbox?

I had this question posted over in the Mobile Suite forum but thought I might get a receive a few more comments here.

Thanks,
Ray

I had that same set up. Bought truck used and came with trail saver hitch. Love the hitch and think it does help the ride. I did have a lot of chunking with my MS also. Found the trail saver and the trail air pinbox keep fighting each other and neither did what they were supposed to. I ended up having the factory replace the pinbox with a standard pinbox and that helped a lot. Good luck. Rick

We also have that GM and Trailersaver combo with a heavy DRV. I don't have any experience with other hitches, but we've been pleased with the ride so far. No chucking or bucking and the trailer seems to float over bumps or dips. Only severe bridge joints cause us any discomfort and that is because of the truck suspension not being able to handle the bumps and not the trailer.

When I recently purchased a MS with a trail air pin box and since I already had a TS3, I called Hensley and talked with a tech. He told me there was no problem with using both together. I have about 5,000 miles on the setup so far and the ride has been great. I do not detect a fight between the two. I keep the air pressure right at the minimum (just barely air up to the marks on the hitch and pin box shock) on both and run about 85 psi in my dually rears (f450 w/19.5 tires). No complaints from me about the two working together but I do have the same problem with some of the cement bridge joints depending on their spacing.

I have owned the Hensley Trailer Saver TS3 since 2007. I am towing a 2010 MS 36RSSB3 with a MorRyde pin box. I also have the smart air system with the Trailer Saver. I highly recommend the smart air system. I have no chucking or bucking issues at all. I think the Hensley is the Cadillac of the hitches, especially if you have the Smart Air set-up.

Actually the ET Hitch is. But it is geared toward the HDT market. He has a Jr that should work in a LDT

Have you decided on a hitch yet ? How does your GMC do pulling the trailer ?
